Youth Volleyball Programs

Bump, set, attack in i9 Sports® youth volleyball leagues and programs for kids!

i9 Sports youth volleyball leagues are played indoors or outdoors in a 4 v 4 or 6 v 6 format. Small team sizes allow your child to get maximum touches on the ball. The game is designed to keep kids moving, engaged and learning new skills. With modified court sizes and rules, our youth volleyball format is the perfect way to teach kids ages 7-14 the fundamentals of volleyball while developing their hand-eye coordination, agility, and overall athletic skills. And best of all, it comes with all the benefits you’ve come to expect from i9 Sports: fun, safe play, and an emphasis on good sportsmanship

Juniors

Meet us at the net! The i9 Sports youth volleyball curriculum for kids in our Junior age group focuses on skill development. Progressive drills promote using the net and high frequency of touches on the ball. With the first two weeks of the volleyball program being instructional only, your child will be more ready for game play in week 3. Players continue to improve in the fundamentals of volleyball; setting, bumping, attacking, digging and serving through various drills that build on each other throughout the season. The focus is on progress, not perfection. Drills aim to improve large motor skills as well as spatial awareness. Scores are kept and youth volleyball rules are enforced through teachable moments, in a fun, low pressure environment.

Seniors

The i9 Sports youth volleyball curriculum for kids in our Senior age group aims to improve large motor skills, spatial awareness and good sportsmanship. The curriculum starts with the first week of the program being instructional only to get the jitters out, learn fundamental skills of the game and increase the ability to rally during game play. In week two, game play is introduced to promote teamwork and competition in a low stress environment. Drills are developed for net sharing to increase the ability of the players to execute rallys during the game. Scores are kept and volleyball rules are enforced. As our senior youth volleyball league players continue to gain confidence in the sport, the game naturally becomes more competitive in a fun, age appropriate setting.
