Special Note for Summer 2020
As we begin the careful process of “reopening” to a new normal, we know the desire to play sports again remains strong. And we are just as eager to stage T-ball and Coach Pitch. Just as important, however, is the need to reopen in a way that keeps you and your family safe, and follows the rules of our public health authorities.
As such, we have adjusted our summer program to comply with social distancing rules while positioning ourselves for a smooth transition to our traditional format, when that is allowed to resume. Until we get the all-clear from health authorities for game play, time at the fields will consist of drills, games and stations. These will be set up for players to work on their sport-specific skills under the direction of parent volunteer and staff coaches. All done in a small-group setting.
Many other precautions will be taken at each venue, including minimizing the number of people on site at one time. The venues will be stocked with sanitizing stations, including hand sanitizer — yes, we found some — and disinfectant and wipes. Staff will wear gloves and parent volunteer coaches provided gloves to wear. Many other steps to ensure your child’s safety will be shared closer to the start of the season.
Most of our summer programs are scheduled to start June 7, depending on location, but we know the situation is fluid. Depending on the venue and decisions from local leaders, we may need to start a week or two later. No one really knows for sure. But should we be unable to play at all this summer, every player registered will be given a full credit good for a future season.
In the meantime, please follow the advice of our public health experts so we can all get back to playing the sports we love and help all kids succeed in life through sports.

Volunteer Coaches: Coaching at i9 Sports is fun, rewarding, and easy! We provide practice plans, rule books, and other helpful resources. Volunteering to coach is a great opportunity to build a strong bond with your child in addition to helping other children have a great sports experience. If you can give a high five, you can coach! Be sure to volunteer during the registration process and more information will be provided before the start of the season. All i9 Sports coaches are certified and will go through a background check.
Coaches & Referees: All coaches and referees are i9 Sports-certified and undergo a background check.
Weather Cancellations: There is one weather make-up date built into the schedule (May 31). If we lose a day of games to weather, we will make them up on this date. Any additional dates lost may or may not be made up. We will do the best we can, but the weather is beyond our control. Because of the costs built into running the leagues, we cannot provide refunds for dates missed. We will do all we can to make all the games happen.
