Our instructional format is a great way to learn the fundamentals of a sport. Our baseball program teaches kids the basic fundamentals of how to catch, throw, hit, run and be "baseball ready" in a fun, safe real-game setting! Volunteer coaches work closey with the staff to ensure the kids are learning and having fun througout the days. Summer clinics are scheduled to have all games completed by noon to beat the heat.
|AGE||TOTAL FIELD TIME||FORMAT|
|3 - 4||60 minutes||Instructional - All players will hit off a tee.|
Equipment: The league provides each player with an official i9 Sports baseball cap and participation t-shirt to keep them cool during the summer season. Players should wear athletic shorts or sweats. Appropriate footwear includes sneaker or cleats (no metal spikes.). You must provide your own glove (which you can use to practice at home).
Practice: We have no weekly practices and the only practice to be held prior to the game at the venue, thus making it a 1 day commitment.
Awards: Each week at least one kid from each group will be awarded an i9 Sports Sportsmanship Medal for demonstrating the value for that week. Weekly stickers or stamps will be given to all players. All players will also receive an i9 Sports Participation Certificate/Award at the end of the season.
Coaches: In addition to our staff, we prefer to use volunteer parent(s) as coaches for our programs. Please consider being a coach! All coaches will receive mandatory certified background checks. Coaches will find the experience personally rewarding.
Team Parent/Mom: Another key volunteer is the team mom/parent who works closely with the coaches to help provide a fun and positive team environment while keeping track of weekly snacks, medals, and stats. The team parent will also lead the other parents in cheering and encouring the kids throughout the games. Everyone loves the team parent! Reach out to your assigned coach if you're interested in being a team parent! Team Parents also make great i9 Sports Ambassadors!
Referees: The Sports Instructor(s) will officiate all games in the Instructional Program. All referees are i9 Sports Certified and undergo a background check.

"All the coaches have been amazing! Very encouraging and inclusive! No one is left out. They do an amazing job explaining how to play and what the players can do to be better without making the players self conscious! We will be signing up again! Thank you!! "
