- Unsurpassed organization and communication
- Emphasis on fun that places the kids' needs first
- Focus on basic skills, sportsmanship, and team play
- Convenience (lower time commitment)
- Inclusiveness (everyone plays, every game)
- No additional fees or fundraisers
- Commitment to safety
League Format:Play is 5 on 5 with teams consisting of 9-10 players each. All divisions are coed for boys and girls ages 3-17 as of 9/01/18 (Grades PreK-11th). All programs will be seperated by GRADE LEVEL based on 2018-2019 school year. However, please note that age brackets are subject to change based on participation. Some leagues may be run in an instructional/group format due to number of participants.
Practice: We encourage most practices to be held an hour or so prior to the game at the field, thus making it a once per week commitment for kids, parents, and coaches. However, coaches may choose to schedule up to one (1) optional weeknight practice per week. The locations and times of practices are left to the coach's discretion.
Equipment: The league provides each player with an official i9 Sports Flag Football jersey and flag belt. Players may wear shorts/pants of any type, as long as they do not have pockets or belt loops, and as long as they are not red in color (navy blue or black recommended.) Each player must use a mouth guard at all times during play.
Awards:All kids will receive an i9 Flag Participation Award (trophy or medal) at the end of the season. In addition, weekly sportsmanship awards will be given out to the player who best exemplifies the i9 Sportsmanship Value of the Week!
Coaches & Referees:All coaches, usually a volunteer parent, will receive mandatory background checks. Please consider volunteering! All referees are trained to ensure the highest level of professionalism during all games.
Player or Coaches Requests: While we do our very best to honor all player and coach requests we do not guarantee them, it is simply a request and we typically honor almost every one however sometimes for various reasons we cannot. If you are requesting a specific coach please reach out to them in advance to insure that he or she has space on their team or that they are coaching that season. Requests made after the deadline are the hardest to honor as we fill teams based on need at that point. We will always try our best to honor them however but sometimes it is very difficult.
Interactive Website:You can register to play, access schedules, view standings and player statistics, read up on rules, and get the latest league news here on our website.
Schedules: While we try our very best to avoid all major holidays, due to weather and other things out of our control we cannot gaurantee we will not be playing on holidays. Please be aware that schedules are subject to change with notice from league office.
