i9 Sports is pleased to offer a variety of exciting features in our programs:
Interactive Website: You can register to play, access schedules, read up on rules, and get the latest news at our state-of-the art site.
Format: Everyone plays every week, and everyone plays an equal amount of time. There are approximately 7-10 players per team, which are co-ed, and organized into divisions according to age, skill level, & grade level (with some modifications, as necessary).
Dates: Practices take place 30 - 60 minutes before the games at the field. Each game will be about 30 minutes to one hour (depending on the age group).
Games will be played in your geographic region however travel may be required depending on the number of teams in your respective division. Our goal is to be a community based program and have all games played in your backyard or an adjacent region however this may not be the case for all teams and divisions
SPECIAL REQUESTS: We do allow you to request to play with a buddy or specific coach during the registration process. We will do our very best to honor as many special requests as possible, however they are NOT GUARANTEED. Requests will be honored in the order in which they are received. Requests may be denied because a child is too old or young, a roster is full, or the coach is not coaching during the season.
Equipment: i9 Sports provides each player an official i9 Sports jersey - yours to keep after the season. Soccer balls are available at the field for coaches to use for practice. Players may wear athletic shorts of any type. Also, to protect eyes and faces, hats with brims and bandanas with knots are not allowed. Appropriate footwear includes soccer/football shoes (no metal cleats), and turf shoes or sneakers. Each player must wear shin guards, which can be purchased at a local sporting goods stores or at the field.
Officials: Games are refereed by trained, certified, officials.
Pricing: The earlier you sign up, the more you save! Amount shown is a one-time payment for the entire season.
The i9 Philosophy: We operate our programs according to a set of defining goals. We are committed to:
• Ensuring the safety of the players, coaches, and officials
• Teaching fundamental skills (practice plan provided each week)
• Engendering good sportsmanship (sportsmanship value lesson plan provided each week)
• Delivering professionalism by providing unsurpassed customer service, integrity, and organizational quality
In regards to three year olds: We do allow three year olds to play in our league, but parents need to have realistic expectations at this age. Not all three year olds are ready for this kind of activity. We recommend that children be at least three and a-half before playing. There is a separate program offered for 2-3 year olds that may be better for younger 3 year olds. We also ask parents to have realistic expectations of the kids and the coaches at this age. The coaches will be focused to teaching very basic soccer skills and to making it fun for the kids.
Weather Cancellations: There is one weather make-up date built into the schedule. If we lose a weekend of games to weather, we will make them up on this date. Any additional dates lost may or may not be made up. We will do the best we can, but we cannot control the weather. Because of all of the costs built into running the leagues, we cannot provide refunds for dates missed. We will do all we can to make all the games happen.
****PLEASE NOTE**** While player requests are encouraged, we will not guarantee placement of more than 5 players on any one team. All requests will be on a first come first serve basis.
