South Chandler - Baseball/T-Ball - League

· 60 minutes of playing time (30 minute practice + 30 minute game).

· All children play the entire game, in the field and at bat.

· All batters swing until they hit the ball off the tee.

· Each team bats until the entire line-up has hit each inning. No outs will be recorded.

· All players rotate positions in the field each inning (There is no catcher in T-Ball).

· Roster Size: 6-8 kids per team.

· All coaches and parents are allowed on the field as needed to assist.

· There are no umpires nor is score kept in the 3-4 age group division.

· Each player is responsible to bring their own baseball glove (we recommend 9 – 9 ½ inch glove)

· We provide all other equipment (i.e. T-Balls, Bats, Batting Helmets, etc.)

· The type of ball we use is a safe, soft T-Ball (Type “RIF-Level 1”) played on a grass field.

· Protective cups are optional.

· Sneakers or rubber cleats may be worn. No metal spikes!

· No player may wear any type of metal objects or jewelry.

· AT THE PARENTS DISCRETION, THEY MAY REQUEST TO MOVE THEIR 3-4 YEAR OLD UP TO THE 5-6 YEAR OLD DIVISION.

· 90 minutes of playing time (30 minute practice + 60 minute game).

· The coach will throw 3 pitches to his own players. If unsuccessful, a Tee is used until the player hits the ball.

· A team will bat until 3 outs are recorded or until the entire line-up has batted.

· Roster size: 8-10 kids per team

· All coaches and parents are allowed on the field as needed to assist.

· (1) umpire will be assigned to your game and score will be kept in the 5-6 age group.

· Each player is responsible to bring their own baseball glove (we recommend 9 to 9 ½ inch glove)

· We provide all other equipment (i.e. T-Balls, Bats, Batting Helmets, etc.)

FRIEND/COACH REQUESTS: You can request a friend, sibling or coach on your registration and we will make our very best effort to accommodate your request as long as they are in the same division. Although they can not always be guaranteed (ie: rosters already set or coaches over requested). 

JAMBOREE/OPENING DAY: During the Jamboree, all teams in the 5-6 division will play one practice game using certified officials. The Jamboree is designed to teach the players and new coaches the i9 sports rules of baseball before official league play begins the following week.

EQUIPMENT: On opening day players will receive an official i9 Sports reversible mesh jersey and baseball hat.

REQUIRED: Baseball Glove (recommended 9 - 9 1/2 inch glove), athletic shorts/pants, sneakers or cleats (no metal cleats). No jeans, metal objects, or jewelry please.
