Schedule Note: Nov 11th games will be played after 1PM due to field aviability and an event on school campus.
The i9 Philosophy: We operate our leagues according to a set of defining goals. We are committed to:
Focus on fun that places the kid's needs first
There are No Tryouts, No Drafts, & No Fundraisers!
Ensuring the safety of the players, coaches, and officials
Teaching the fundamentals of soccer
Engendering good sportsmanship
League Format: Games are 6 v 6 or 7 v 7, with goalie (Pee Wee division is all v all with no goalies). Everyone plays every week, and everyone plays an equal amount of time. There are approximately 6-9 players per team (with a max of 8 on Pee Wee teams), which are organized into divisions according to age & grade level (with some modifications, as necessary).
Days: ALL practices and games are once a week, on Saturdays. Practices take place 30 minutes before the games, at the field. Note: 3-4 yr olds have 20 minute practices to keep it shorter for them. Each game consists of two twenty-minute halves separated by a five-minute half time.
Equipment: The league provides each player an official i9 Sports jersey - yours to keep after the season. Players may wear athletic shorts of any type. Also, to protect eyes and faces, hats with brims and bandanas with knots are not allowed. Appropriate footwear includes soccer/football cleats (no metal cleats), turf shoes or sneakers. Each player must wear shin guards, which can be purchased at a local sporting goods store or at the field for $15.
Rosters:i9 Sports accepts buddy/teammate requests and will make every effort to accommodate. i9 team assignments are determined in order by: age, registration date, buddy requests & coach requests. We will work very hard to meet your special request, but we do not guarantee that any or all of your requests will be met. Refunds will NOT be given if i9 Sports is unable to meet your special request.
Coaches: All coaches are volunteers and are subject to a criminal background check and will participate in our preseason coaches meeting. We provide playbooks, practice guides, and equipment to all of our coaches allowing them to focus on having fun with the kids. A small percentage of teams will not have a coach assigned when the rosters are announced. If this is the case, our staff will be contacting everyone on the team to make sure there is a volunteer in place. We do not guarantee you will be provided with an experienced coach but we will do our best to train new coaches.
Awards: Each week one child from each team will be awarded an i9 Sports Sportsmanship Medal for demonstrating the value for that week. All children will receive an i9 Sports Participation Trophy at the end of the season.
