Welcome to the 2019 Spring Season of i9 Sports Soccer!
You will find i9 Sports is an exciting alternative to other leagues, because we offer features you value most:
- Unsurpassed organization and communication
- Emphasis on fun that places the kids' needs first
- Focus on basic skills, sportsmanship, team play and fairness
- Convenience (practices and games on the same day)
- Inclusiveness (balanced playing time for every player, every game)
- Commitment to safety (mandatory certified background checks on all coaches)
League Format: This 7-week instructional program will involve skill instruction and technique-based games followed by game play thus making it a once per week commitment for kids, parents, and coaches.
|PreK (3) - PreK (4)||60 minutes||5 on 5|
|K - 1st||90 minutes||5 on 5|
|2nd - 3rd||90 minutes||5 on 5|
|4th - 5th||90 minutes||6 on 6|
Equipment: The league provides each player with an official i9 Sports reversible mesh jersey that your kids get to keep (the kids love the reversible jersey). Players may wear the official i9 Sports shorts or any color shorts, shin guards and footwear. Shin guards are mandatory for all age groups. Footwear may be sneakers or soft-cleated soccer shoes (no metal).
Awards: Each week one player from each team will be awarded an i9 Sportsmanship Medal for demonstrating the value for that week. All players will receive an i9 Participation Trophy or Participation Medal depending on the age of the child. Certificates will be awarded to the Most Valuable Player, Most Improved Player and Most Sportsmanship-like Player for each team. In addition, all players on teams that win the Playoff Tournament within their division will receive a championship trophy.
Coaches & Referees: All coaches, usually a volunteer parent of a child playing on the team, will receive mandatory certified background checks. Please consider volunteering! Coaches will find the experience personally rewarding. All referees are trained to ensure the highest level of professionalism during all games.
Interactive Website: You can easily find programs near you, access detailed schedules, communicate with your coach, view standings and team/player statistics, review game rules, see your child's accomplishments and get the latest league news at our state-of-the-art website. The website is updated on a regular basis so please check the site often.
