Welcome to the 2019 Spring Season of i9 Sports Cheerleading! Cheer will be held at Meadows Middle School in Rochester Hills!
You will find that i9 Sports is an exciting alternative to other leagues, because we offer the features you value most:
- Unsurpassed organization and communication
- Emphasis on fun that places the kids' needs first
- Focus on basic skills, sportsmanship, team play and fairness
- Convenience (practices and games on the same day)
- Inclusiveness (balanced playing timefor every player, every game)
- Commitment to safety (mandatory certified background checkson all coaches)
-All Division have experienced, paid i9 instructors ready to assist, organize, and support our trained volunteers during practices and games.
League Format: The girls will be grouped into Cheer teams based on their age. A certified Cheer instructor will teach the girls stretches, jumps, and cheers to be performed on the sidelines during the games,as well asat halftime of the games.
Practice: We encourage no more than one (1) practice per week, and for that practice to be held a 1/2 hour prior to halftime performance, thus making it a once per week commitment for kids, parents, and coaches. Practice is usually held in an area near the playing field.
Equipment: The league provides each cheerleader with an official i9Sports uniform top and bottom, as well as a hair ribbon. The girls will also be able to use the i9Sports Official Pom Poms each week.
Awards: Each week one child from each squad will be awarded an i9 Sportsmanship Medal for demonstrating the value for that week. In addition, all kids will receive an i9 Participation trophy and snow cone party at the end of the season.
Coaching Information: At i9 Sports, we feel that having paid experienced instructors at every event is very important. This is unique to most other leagues. Our instructors come to every practice/game with a great deal of knowledge; not just about sports, but about kids. Many of our staff members teach elementary, middle, and/or high school in local school districts during the week and enjoy using their teaching experience on the weekends with i9 Sports.Other staff members have played sports at the college or professional levels and, still others, have worked with i9 Sports for so long that they know exactly the right strategy, drill, and/or technique to motivate any player.
Our AWESOME volunteer coaches are the “face of the teams!”They bring the teams together, help them practice, and are right there every step of the way during the season.Volunteer coaches are trained and background checked. They’re also provided with weekly, age-appropriate practice plans to make their coaching experience organized, fun, and stress-free!And, of course, volunteer coaches always have an experienced i9 Sports staff member nearby for support, if needed, during practices or game time.
