Q: I just registered for a program, now what?
Once you complete your registration, you’ve secured your spot for the upcoming program and you’re all set!
Your child will be assigned to a team/coach and your schedule posted online approximately one week before the program start date. To access your schedule and coach information at that time, click on My Schedule.
In the interim, please visit the Equipment – Frequently Asked Questions to learn what your child will receive and what you’ll need to provide your child for the upcoming program.
Q: What's the difference between an instructional program vs. league?
The focus of an instructional program is to teach children the age-specific fundamentals of the sport in a game-like setting. i9 Sports will supply a coach to lead activities and provide individual coaching to the players. The program is split into two distinct phases (practice and game play). During the game, the daily practice topic will be emphasized.
A league is a program in which multiple teams compete with each other throughout the season. Each team is led by a volunteer coach.
Q: What if my child is a beginner to organized sports or it's their first time playing a particular sport?
Due to the core values that i9 Sports holds our program is great for children of all skill levels and experience! It is very common that all teams have a mix of brand new and returning players. Rest assured, every player gets to play every game - all season long.
Q: How long will the program run?
Our programs vary in length depending on the season and type of program. Click on Find A Program to find out all the details.
Q: How long are the practices and games?
Practices, game lengths, and times will vary by age group and sport. All programs and times may vary, but here’s a general guideline:
Q: Are all of your programs co-ed?
All of the sports that we offer are co-ed, unless noted. Click on Find A Program to find the details of the program.
Q: How do I obtain the multi-child discount online? Is there a discount for more than one child in my family to participate in a season?
Yes! The multi-child discount is automatically applied when you register the additional child(ren) for the same season (clinics excluded). You do not need any promo code. Discount amounts vary by location.
Q: What if there’s a Waiting List for a program?
If a program displays “Join Waiting List”, that means we are currently sold out for the age group you’re interested in registering for, but a spot may open up. Because the waiting list is first come, first serve, we highly recommend that you complete the Waiting List registration. There is no obligation and you will not pay for the registration at that time. If a spot opens up, you will be contacted and full payment will be expected to secure your spot.
Q: What paperwork must I complete in order for my child to participate in your program?
If you’ve registered by phone, you’ll need to click on Complete Waivers to complete the registration. Otherwise, if you’ve completed a registration online, then you’re all set!
Q: How old does my child have to be play?
Age groups can vary by the sport and season. To get up to date information on age requirements click on Find A Program to search.
Q: What are the age divisions you offer?
Our age groups can vary season to season and by location, but we always ensure that your child will be playing with other children of a comparable age and/or grade. Click on Find A Program to search.

Q: Do you have teams for children older than 14, but already in H.S.?

Q: My child has a special need. Can he or she participate?
We pride ourselves on creating an environment that is fun and safe for most children. If you have any specific concerns please contact your Local i9 Sports Program Director to discuss.
Q: How experienced are the players in your league?
i9 Sports is a recreational league that has many players with varying skill levels participating in different sports. If you have any specific concerns regarding your child’s level of play please contact your Local i9 Sports Program Director.
Q: Are there restrooms?
Because venue accommodations vary, go to Find A Program and view the program details page for restroom access information at your location.
Q: How do I sign up to bring snacks (optional) for my child’s team?
You can sign up by visiting My Schedule (look for “Snacks”, located in the last column of the schedule). This feature is subject to availability at participating i9 Sports programs.
Q: When will my child’s schedule become available?
We do our very best to have league schedules completed 7 days prior to opening day. To view the schedule, click on My Schedule.
Team assignments and schedules are not compiled until registration is closed. Therefore we ask for your patience as the schedule information will be posted online as soon as it’s ready.
Note: If you registered late, your schedule information will likely be delayed. Please be patient as you will be assigned to a team and the information will be posted online as quickly as possible.
Q: Will my child’s schedule be emailed to me?
No, to access all schedule information, simply click on My Schedule.
Q: How do I find my child’s team assignment and coach?
You’ll need to click on My Schedule approximately 7 days (or less) prior to opening day to access this information. Be sure to login using the email address used when you submitted the registration.
Q: When should I expect to hear from the Coach?
Because volunteer coaches are parents just like you, they get the team information and schedule the same time as you. In some cases, you may not hear from your child’s coach prior to the season. Simply follow the My Schedule information to meet your child’s coach at the Jamboree (the first practice/scrimmage) on opening day.

The Athletic Gear Packs are fulfilled and shipped by our supplier, Athletic Stuff, and will arrive within 5-7 business days of placing your order.
You may return new, unworn, unused merchandise that is in its original condition for a full refund of the amount originally charged to your credit card within 30 days of receipt. Q: How do I find out if a game is cancelled due to inclement weather?
Call the Weather Hotline approximately 1-2 hours prior to game time for the status of your game.
Q: Is there a make-up date in the event a game is canceled due to inclement weather?
To find the most current schedule, you should always visit My Schedule on the website. We do our very best to make up games that are canceled, but due to several factors that are out of our control this is not always possible.
Q: How do I find out when Photo Day will be held?
You’ll need to click on My Schedule and click the red Photo Day link on the schedule for more info. Please keep in mind that Photo Day info may not be displayed until the information is available.
Q: How is your Flag Football program different from tackle football?
In our Flag Football program there is no contact. We offer this program as a way to prevent injuries and also provide a safe program for all of our players. A flag belt is worn by every player and once a player’s flag has been pulled the play is stopped. The pulling of flags replaces tackling.
Q: How can I find the rules of the game?
Click on Rule Books (you can also find this link in the Coaches section of the website).
Q: How can I become a volunteer coach?
The first step to becoming a coach is to complete the Volunteer Application.
Once you’ve completed the Volunteer Application, view our brief coaching video and take the online exam.
Thereafter, please be patient as the Local Program Director may not contact you until 1-2 weeks prior to the start of the season with information on attending the Coaches Meeting.
Q: What is the time commitment of a volunteer coach?
Because i9 Sports practices and plays games on the same day, your time commitment is only 1 day per week! If you’re already planning on coming to your child’s game each week we’ve made it easy for you to become a coach and make great memories with your child!
Q: What kind of coaching materials do you provide?
We’ve made it real easy for you to be a successful coach! Coaching Guides, Rule Books, as well as Playcards & Practice Drills that are super easy for children of all ages to follow can be found in the Coaches section of the website. Of course, if you have any questions on game day, see the Site Manager (at the red canopy) or you can contact your Local Program Director.
Q: I’m trying to login to my account, but can’t remember my password!
Click on Forgot Your Password and the information will be emailed to you automatically.
Q: I am a Coach, but when I attempt to view Coaches information on the website, I get a message that say’s “You must be a coach to view this information.”
There may be a few reasons why this is happening. Either (a) you are logged in using an email address that is different from the one you used as a coach. If that’s the case, simply logout – and sign in again with the correct email address; (b) you are not a coach of a current team. Your coaching status is only in effect for the duration of the season; or (c) you are a coach of a team in an upcoming season, but the schedule/team assignments are not complete yet. Please try again 1 week prior to the season start date.
Q: I registered my child for an upcoming program, but the website is displaying “You currently have no future registrations associated with this email address.”
The reason why this is happening is that the email address you used to login is not the same email address associated with the registration. Simply, logout – and sign in again with the correct email address.
