Why You Should Consider Coaching Youth Sports

If you played any organized sport in your lifetime, you probably remember at least one or two of your coaches. Even if you didn’t like them, it’s hard to argue that they didn’t have an impact on your personal development, not just as an athlete but as a person.

i9 Sports® is always looking for people hoping to make a similar impact on the lives of young children participating in our sports leagues.  Here are three reasons you should consider coaching youth sports:

Love of the Game
Do you love soccer, football, baseball or basketball? Coaching a team in an i9 Sports® league, you can continue your interest in your favorites sports and spread that enthusiasm and knowledge to the children playing on your team.

You don’t need to be the world’s expert on a sport to be an i9 Sports® coach. All you need is eagerness and a willingness to be a part of the i9 Sports® Experience!

Make an Impact on a Child’s Personal Growth
Coaching gives you the chance to give back to your local community and make a difference in children’s lives on and off the field.  Through coaching, your players will learn about teamwork, good sportsmanship, and other valuable social skills that will build a foundation for their personal development. Being a positive role model can leave a major impression on many of the kids you will coach.

While you don’t need to be a parent to coach an i9 Sports® team, coaching is a great way to stay involved with your own child.  Watching your child grow as an athlete from the coaching perspective is rewarding and exciting.

It’s Fun and it’s Easy!
Because i9 Sports® teams practice and play games on the same day, you only need to dedicate 1 day a week to coaching! You will have fun, develop relationships, and have a positive impact on your players. With i9 Sports®’ focus on fun, education and good sportsmanship, every game day will bring a smile to your face.

We provide you with coaching guides, play cards, drills and more to make sure that you feel comfortable with your knowledge of the game to get your teams ready for game day.

As more children participate in our youth sports leagues every year, so does our demand for enthusiastic and eager coaches.  It doesn’t take a lot of time out of your week, but it can leave a lasting impact on a child.
