Q: How much playing time will my child receive?
A: We are committed that each child receives a fair and balanced allocation of time. i9 Sports programs are dedicated to emphasize fundamentals, participation, and fun. This policy is clearly communicated to all coaches involved.
If you should have any questions or concerns about playing time, please communicate this to the coach as well as the i9 Sports League Office.

Q: When and how often are the practices?
A: Due to the hectic schedules we face as parents and commitments during the week, there is no required participation for weeknight practices. Practices are usually held on game day (just prior to the game).
If your child's coach offers (1) weeknight practice per week, it will be 100% optional and will not impact the playing time your child receives during the games.
However, most teams have practice an hour or so before their scheduled game, thus making it only a once per week commitment for everyone involved (parents, kids, and coaches.) The emphasis is on having FUN on gamedays!

Q: Do I have to do any "fundraising" or "mandatory volunteering?"
A: No! You are paying for your child to participate in a fun sports program and will never be asked to participate in any fundraising whatsoever or be required to work a concession stand. Volunteering opportunities are available as a coach, assistant coach or team helper but are completely optional.

Q: How can I get involved?
A: We need volunteer coaches! One of the most important aspects of i9 Sports is getting good coaches to volunteer their time once a week (during their child's weekend game only).
We also need assistant coaches and team helpers to support our head coaches.
If you have an interest in working for i9 Sports, please indicate your interest on the registration form or call the i9 Sports League Office for more information.

Q: What are the qualifications of the coaches and officials?
A: Every head coach in an i9 Sports program is carefully screened with a criminal background check and is required to pass an online exam as part of the certification process.
We contract out only certified officials from qualified sources to ensure that i9 Sports philosophy and core principles are met.

Q: What are the age brackets?
A: Our youth leagues are open to kids ages 4-14. Actual team age brackets will be determined after the registration deadline by the number of kids that register per league at each age/grade level.
When putting together divisions, we consider age as of when the league begins play, grade level during the current school year, and playing experience to ensure that each team in each division has the same average age, grade level, and experience.
Every effort is made to ensure that all teams are as equally competitive as possible. There are NO drafts or player tryouts. Should you request to play with a friend, group of friends, or for a specific coach, the special requests will be honored with the requesting kids being placed in the division that the oldest child would normally play.

Q: What does the registration fee cover?
A: The registration fee covers: high quality reversible mesh jerseys (which each child keeps), field/gym equipment, game supplies, officiating costs, awards, league operations. Unlike other organizations that require mandatory fundraising and volunteering to offset costs, i9 Sports has NO fundraising or mandatory volunteering of any kind.
Your registration fee entitles you and your child to have lots of fun, to experience superior organization and communication, while being sensitive to your time.
