The Colts had a jam-packed schedule on Saturday June 20, 2009. First they had to play Connor Bonelli and the Tornadoes in the Division Championship game and then immediately after that they had to play the undefeated Sunday Champs, the Giants in the Super Bowl. It was an amazing day for the Colts as they just were overpowering on offense and stifling on defense. At the end of the day the Colts walked away with victories in both the Division Championship and the Superbowl.
In the Division Championship Game the Colts battled a tough Tornadoes team, but were just too overpowering and won. The Tornadoes, who are a very well coached team, played hard but they were not able to score on the Colts smothering defense. The Colts offense was unbelievable as all of the Colts played outstanding to win their third consecutive divisional championship title. Congratulations to the Tornadoes on a great season and we wish them the best of luck in future seasons.
In the Superbowl the Colts had to face an extremely dangerous and tough Giants team who went undefeated in the Sunday Division. The Colts came out flying with their powerful offense and just rolled to victory with the final score being 32 -12. Their were amazing plays made all around including great touchdowns by Richard Mitchell, Steven Rodriguez, Ryan Leone, Timmy Condon & Michael Briguglio and amazing plays by the rest of the team. The Colts played great but the Giants were a great opponent and we congratulate them on a great season. In conclusion, this day was reserved for Colts history and has been coined by Coach Leone as The Season to Remember. The Colts displayed confidence and teamwork throughout the season, which is what the i9 Sports tradition is built on. Congratulations to Ryan Barbieri, James Bozzella, Michael Briguglio, Timmy Condon, Ryan Leone, Richard Mitchell, Jack Rodriguez, Steven Rodriguez, Jeremy Rodriguez, Stephen Stahlbush, Christopher Stahlbush and Assistant Coach Alex Dickinson . All of you boys made Coach Leone and your parents beam with pride as you brought home the ultimate prize. The Colts would also like to thank Robert Glassman and his i9 sports staff for another great season. We hope you all have a great summer!!
